My rant for today:
I was at the gym the other day when one of the members there starting chatting with me. She mentioned how tired she is of hearing about people having cancer. Every time she turns around someone else is diagnosed with cancer. "I know", was my response. I mentioned to her that we are very focussed on cancer and as a result, it appears to be everywhere we look. I believe that what we focus on expands. Our mind is creative, thoughts create things. Because we focus so much time and money on cancer it is in our faces all the time. We have walks for cancer, runs for cancer, we buy products colored a certain way to show how much we support cancer research. We buy lottery tickets to raise money for cancer research. Cancer is front and centre in all our minds. Mind is creative, could it be that the rampant growth of cancer in our world today is largely do to our persistent thinking about it? Maybe it is time to focus our energy and conversations around health. What might happen if we did a run for health, walked for health and bought products that promoted well-being. Okay, some of us do but image the impact if every sign mentioning cancer we're taken down and in its place we had a health message. What if we bombarded ourselves with messages about our health. What if we focussed our attention on enjoying the vibrant health that is natural to us all. I believe our thinking creates our experiences, so, let's change our thinking. How hard could it be? :-)

ReplyDeleteI am a founder of a hair studio in downtown Toronto I have been in the industry for 30 years .The richest reference library in the world is this environment, what I have learnt is it is true if we would all focus on our healthy body , healthy freinds and family ,healthy world.We together could manifest and move towards that vision . Run for Beauty ! walk for Health ! (Support my research for Love ! donate time and love ! no money please )
Along the way I lost so many of my clients to illness and then I observed the ones that conquered and move through and chose health , chose to look ahead and think ,speak and be positive ... Those who sat in fear & anger and entertained in pity parties or sought to get even , or revenge or just wanted to be right where not as graceful through the whole course of the illness . We lost them to the illness or rather what I have come to understand we lost them to a negative way of being in the human experience... Not focused on a vision of a healthy life ...
What I learnt is our every thought and word uttered is what creates our experience, think, speak positive healthy thoughts and you attract positive healthy people and experiences....
Our Salon attracts more healthy and positive clients for I too was a part of what I attracted in my salon... I attracted my fear, my anger , my need to be right ,my inability to forgive these were my cancer's
I decided to support life I chose giving a chance to life ,Children & education!
Our environment changed we started to manifest healthy women and healthy ways of moving through the disease
the women that were healthy, became great grandmothers with a rich life, supportive family,loving relationships women in a positive state of mind, when betrayal or life’s lessons came they took the road of love and forgiveness, turned their lemons into lemonade, accepted the blessing and received the learning.. What they taught me was to look at the glass half full not half empty ... the more I focused on half full I ended up with a full cup...
I today am a rich woman for the secret to staying young and healthy lies within each of us .
