The journey to a sane life begins with responsibility.  When we choose to accept responsibility for our lives we begin to enjoy the benefit of experiencing the power and potential that has always been within us.  If we feel victimized we have given our power over to someone or something, feeling empowered comes from recognizing that we choose our thoughts, our beliefs, our journey and being responsible for all of it brings with it peace.

Knowing I have participated in the creation of my current experience reminds me that I can choose again and get a different result.  I like that idea, a new choice equals a new result, awesome.  Take a look at your current experience and ask yourself if you, "am I willing to make the changes necessary to change the condition?" and if you are start now to live fully. Yahoo!  Enjoy the new ride.

I'm baaaack!  The holiday season seemed to interrupt my rhythm, but I'm okay now.  There is a lot going on right now and I am grateful for this day.  When I read the news and when I see the devastation that is happening in Haiti at this time I become deeply grateful for the life I have.   I am certain no one can even comprehend the magnitude of this disaster and the effect on the people of Haiti.  I think it is time for us to take stock of what is really happening for us and give thanks for whatever it is that we do have.  I believe we should be grateful even for the pain we may be experiencing and send our love and prayers to everyone in Haiti who are now trying to simply survive one more day.  If you knew today was your last day on earth how would you live this day?  Think about it, there may be some changes needed for you to really fulfill your life.

When we are born into this life we bring with us our complete identity.  I believe we are fully formed beings with likes and dislikes, our parents or caregivers are here to guide us and keep us safe.  The confusion sometimes comes in when parents think their job is to create a doctor, lawyer, or famous singer,  it is not necessary for us to do great things to be considered great people.  Being ourselves and enjoying our life is more valuable and healthy in the long run.  Success is about the quality of life we live not the amount of fame or fortune we have.  Be yourself - in the long run it will be the only thing that matters.  Enjoy the present moment it is the one you're guaranteed.

There is One power in the Universe and it is God, or Spirit, or Higher Power, whatever the name, what I know its that it is everywhere present, all-knowing, and all-powerful.  With this in mind I remember that I must be One with It, if it is everywhere It must be here where I am.  This is a powerful awareness, when we begin to see ourselves as infinite potential we begin to live our lives differently.  When we live our lives in harmony with our natural gifts and talents something wonderful happens...HAPPINESS.

Acceptance of what is allows us to begin to live in greater happiness.  When we take responsibility for what is we can creatively move forward.  Life is a journey and resistance of what is happening in our life creates pain and acceptance of what is happening in our life creates joy - hmmm?  sounds pretty simple, accept what is and live a happy life.  Okay, I think I will.

We live in an abundant Universe. This is Truth. I believe there is enough to go around and yet when I look at the world around I see many people who are experiencing much less than they need. Why? What is causing an experience of lack in a Universe filled with opulence?

I believe it is fear that keeps us in this experience. Fear prevents us from sharing fully, fear prevents us from loving completely, fear causes us to hoard what we have in case nothing more will come. So, how do I shift the fear? It starts with believing in Spirit. When we believe in something more than our current physical experience we develop faith. Faith helps us to see the possibility of something more or at least something different. This moves us from fear to love. We come to realize that love and fear cannot share the same space and time. Fear cannot live in the space of love and love when present eradicates fear. What I believe to be true is that fear is an illusion and love is the reality. Today I choose love. How about you?

A busy week has come to a close and I feel satisfied and grateful. When we look at our time and the way we have spent it we tend to judge whether it was good or bad, valuable or a waste. I'm curious what life would be like if we simply released the past experience with a grateful heart knowing that all things change and all is Spirit. Keeping in mind that Spirit, or God, is always good.
